Wineries you must visit in Napa Valley
For many years now, we travel at least once or twice a year up to the Napa Valley area in California. Each visit we make a point to try new wineries but sometimes we just can’t stay away from some of our favorites:
Rutherford Hill Winery - Up on the hill right off the Silverado Trail in St. Helena, Rutherford Hill is a must see when visiting Napa Valley. Along with some of our favorite wines, Rutherford Hill has wine caves that you just have to check out! Extending into the hill about a mile, the caves are full of wine barrels (stored at a perfect temperature and humidity) and even areas set aside for special events and parties. And when waiting for the tour or immediately following the wine tour, make sure you try their famous Port and chocolate covered blueberries!

No reservations required although you may want to call the morning of for most updated wine tour times.- Artesa Winery - Located in the Carneros region of the Napa Valley, Artesa is one of those cool looking modern buildings with some amazing views of the San Francisco and San Pablo bays and most importantly, some great tasting wines. Sit outside on their deck while enjoying some of their vino. A great way to relax on a warm afternoon!

No reservations required. - Chappellet Winery - When we ask others for recommendations on wineries to visit in Napa, Chappellet is always on their lists. On top of Pritchard Hill and a short distance off the Silverado Trail, Chappellet is a family owned and operated winery you must visit in Napa Valley. A quiet, less crowded vineyard with some amazing wines, the Chappellet family has farmed and made their own wines since 1967. The Winery is one of the most unique structures, located in one of the most beautiful settings, in the wine country.
Call before you leave for Napa for reservations. It’s worth it! Chappellet - (707) 963-7136 For maps and directions, check out www.chappellet.com
