Borsao Spain 2004 Red Wine

We’ve never been huge fans of wines from spain until we found this one. (been spoiled by Napa, Sonoma and Santa Barbara being so close) For awhile this was a great find and then for about a year, everytime we tried it we hated it. Figured we’d give it another try this year. Safe to say, we’re glad we did. It was super enjoyable. Sometimes on sale for $6…give it a try.

Coto De Hayas Spain 2003

100 year old vines. A fine wine. Full flavored, a hint of prunes as Laura would say. Not the best of years, that we’ve tried, but a good one to get when you can. Be interesting to age a few of these to see what it would add. Next time we’re at the wine warehouse we’ll grab a few for aging.
