The “Checkers’ Cab” really didn’t do it for either of us. Description had the word “oak” in it so immediately we had to try it. (I’m a big “oak” fan in the wines…love that flavor) Anyway, we let the wine sit for awhile before drinking just to allow for proper breathing. Gave it a pour, a good swirl and things started off ok. Smell was good but taste, not so much. Ended up drinking a half a glass each and then decided to use the rest of this bottle of wine as a “wood chip soaker” or for a “wine reduction sauce.” (which worked great) This wine unfortunately ended up in our “dog house.”
