Curtis Roussanne Santa Barbara CA 2003
A fantastic white wine with a great taste of apricot. Very tasty. Next time we go we’re bringing back a case or so!

Echelon Cabernet Sauvignon CA 2002

No problem drinking this wine! Better than their Syrah but not as good as the Pinot from Echelon. Would buy it again!
You can order the Echelon 2002 Merlot here.

Kenwood Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma CA 2001
A $30 bottle of wine for $20. A good oak taste to it. Probably wouldn’t get it again. You can find a better wine for that amount but no complaints about the flavor!

Domaine des Blagueurs Syrah France 2002
“Ah sirrah!…, we shall do nothing but eat, and make good cheer.” Imported by Bonny Doon in Santa Cruz, this has to be one of my top 10 wines. Great “Barrel” taste to it. I can drink a bottle by myself and not know it.
Oopps, “sorry Laura, did you only get one glass?”

Red Truck CA 2003
Winemaker’s Comments: “Medium-bodied and complex, flavors of chocolate, berries, cherries and licorice abound. The black pepper finish settles with smooth tannins. You can drink red truck anywhere, anytime (it pairs well with pizza and tomato based dishes).”
Tried it with some pizza as suggested and it was very good. A nice bbq wine I would think. Get some @ around $12.

Blackstone Pinot Noir CA 2003
Super good wine from Blackstone. Black cherry, vanilla, and hints of spice followed by cherry, jammy berry and black tea-infused flavors. Always get a few bottles of this wine when it’s on sale. ($8.99-$9.99)

Smoking Loon Cabernet Sauvignon CA 2003
Smoking Loon is a good wine. Get some when you can. It’s inexpensive and an ok everyday wine. I know we’ll be getting some everytime we see it. Very good flavor.

Coto De Hayas Spain 2003
100 year old vines. A fine wine. Full flavored, a hint of prunes as Laura would say. Not the best of years, that we’ve tried, but a good one to get when you can. Be interesting to age a few of these to see what it would add. Next time we’re at the wine warehouse we’ll grab a few for aging.

Ca’ del Solo Big House Red CA 2003
A nice blend of everything. Intense in flavor, very complex. A good one from Bonny Doon Vineyard. Pick one up if you see it in the store.
